“Maxi Grado”, a 100% Veneto distilled sanitizer.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, we decided to create, in collaboration with other wineries and a local distillery, a disinfectant spray, subsequently delivered to the Civil Protection.

By collecting and distilling the pomace, with the consequent introduction of steam to concentrate the alcoholic component, then collected and brought to volume, we obtained “Maxi Grado”. It’s a spray with an alcohol content of 77% vol., that’s compliant with the requirements set by the WHO for surface disinfection. The characteristics of “Maxi Grado” lie in the double distillation and the use of traceable ingredients: sustainable production thus came together with the need to find disinfectants during the lockdown period. This is our project, in an emergency period, to enhance the by-products of processing as precious resources for supporting the community.
